Jan 28 2014 - BLOEMFONTEIN - Afrikaner farmer Neels Bothma 55, and his
79-year-old mother Monica were attacked on their farm Elim outside
Bloemfontein at around 02h00 by five black attackers: one of the gunmen did
fire a shot at him but failed to it him. The report does not say how the
five farm-attackers got inside the homestead. The farmer was attacked in
his bedroom first. Mr Bothma sleeps with his revolver beneath his pillow
and says the attackers struggled with him and took the gun away from him.
